The Challenges
In some ways it was a nice challenge to have - too much business to cope with! When we analyzed the problem with Hammond's it was obvious that the key issue here was timing. Hammond's generally have the ability to produce the orders but need the information promptly in order to achieve this. At the time we had just embarked on a long journey to develop our own bespoke software package that would cover all aspects of the business - sales, procurement, accounts etc. We turned to our software house and asked for their help.
