We pride ourselves on being one of the more diverse companies in the fresh produce industry. Our main markets are retail, catering, processing, food-service, packing, export and wholesale. In 2013/14 the Group turnover was €110m.

We currently have 39 sales and procurement staff in nine locations in three countries; Southport, Spalding, Evesham, Manchester, Southend, Belfast, Emmen, Rotterdam and Almeria. Last year we sold 186 different types of produce to 819 customers in 22 countries.

We bought produce from 715 suppliers in 64 countries. Just under 30 per cent of sales were to customers outside the UK. Around half the produce we bought last year (by Country of Origin) was from the UK and the other half from overseas.

In volume terms this translates to around 13,300 articulated lorry loads of produce across the year – approximately 51 lorry loads per working day.

Our grower group, Richmond Farms, has 23 members and 37,000 tonnes of dedicated crops. We also farm 340 acres ourselves in East Anglia and Lancashire.

We have a joint-venture onion packing facility with QV Foods – 40,000 square foot on an eight acre site at Long Sutton, Lincs. We also have our own large production and cold-storage facility at Poeldijk, near Rotterdam.

Because we have such a strong presence in every sector of the produce industry, we are able to offer our growers a whole crop marketing service and our customers a full range of produce from around the globe throughout the year.
