Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious individual to join our warehouse team at our Burscough Depot in Lancashire.
Job Role
- Pick orders ensuring that product descriptions and quantities picked are correct.
- Ensure pallets are built and wrapped securely and correctly labelled.
- Record picking on relevant documents
- Report any issues or shortages to the relevant person
- Move pallets from goods in or storage areas to picking positions
- Keep work areas clean and tidy and empty waste bins
- Compact waste cardboard
- Liaise with and carry out any other tasks required by the line manager.
Specifications
- Able to use manual pallet moving equipment
- Preferred: Able to use powered pallet moving equipment
- Preferred: Hold current FLT operators license (training available)
- Ensure tasks and duties are carried out in a safe and efficient manner
- Follow company policies, procedures and work instructions
- Follow all health and safety requirements
- Preferred: Good product knowledge
- Flexible, positive and outgoing approach to work
- The ability to work as part of a busy team and communicate effectively and the ability to work on their own initiative
- Be contactable at all times during working hours
Duties may change from time to time in accordance with the changing needs of the company. You will be expected to carry such duties out as normal. If there is any significant change, this will be discussed and agreed with you and may be included in a revised edition of the Job Description, otherwise more minor changes may be discussed with you at the time of your performance review.
