Nationwide Produce PLC is one of the largest, longest established, and most diverse produce companies in the UK.

What do we do? Well, just about everything in fresh produce. We grow it, we grade it, we pack it, we trade it, we import, and we export.

Nationwide Produce started life as Bernard O’Malley & Sons, in Lancashire, back in 1975. After 50 years in business, we’re still proudly family-run and family-owned.

Group turnover for the financial year 2024-25 was a record £204m. We supply customers across every sector of the market — including foodservice, catering, processing, wholesale, export, and retail. They rely on us for a complete range of vegetables, fruit, and exotic produce from around the world, every single day, whatever the circumstances.

Today, we proudly serve more than 1,000 customers across Europe, 365 days a year.

Meet the Board

Through continuous growth and development, the Nationwide Group has been able to record an increase in turnover from £2.5m in 1988 to £204m in 2025.

Throughout our journey, Nationwide Produce has built a strong reputation for quality, consistency, and service – values that remain at the heart of our business today. We apply these principles every day, working directly with growers and ensuring fresh, reliable produce reaches our customers across the globe.

At Nationwide Produce PLC, 81% of our employees say it’s a great place to work – significantly higher than the 54% average for a typical UK-based company. We’re proud to be officially certified as a Great Place to Work, and the survey is invaluable in highlighting where we can continue to improve, helping us create the best possible working environment for everyone at Nationwide Produce.
