Nationwide Produce PLC Celebrates A Great Place to Work-Certified™ Status

by | Nov 27, 2023 | News

Nationwide Produce PLC is proud to announce that we are officially a Great Place to Work-Certified® for the second consecutive year.

88% of our employees said management is approachable and easy to talk to, and 88% of employees want to work at Nationwide Produce for a long time.

This prestigious award is based on an extensive and anonymous survey completed by Nationwide Produce employees. The feedback is gathered by Great Place to Work® (GPTW®), the global authority on workplace culture covers many values which are important to Nationwide – These include ensuring our employees feel they are treated fairly, respected, have good camaraderie, positive leadership and open communication.

“Nationwide Produce is proud to be recognised as a ‘Great Place to Work’. This certification will give us some guidance on not just where we’ve got it right, but more importantly, where we need to improve. My dad said to me a long time ago ‘Your staff are your key asset son, treat them well’. And he was right, as usual. This recognition stands as my proudest achievement, a tribute to our dedicated team.” says Tim O’Malley, Group Managing Director.

The results prove Nationwide Produce’s positive work culture, highlighting our ongoing commitment to prioritising our people. Completing the ‘Great Place to Work’ survey enables us to gather genuine, anonymous feedback from all our UK offices, ensuring our team feels heard, valued, and genuinely enjoys their work life at Nationwide Produce. It’s a continuous journey of improvement driven by our employees’ voices.

A Great Place to Work

Phil Johnson, Group HR Director said “Our employees’ feedback speaks volumes about the culture at Nationwide Produce PLC. Achieving an 82% ‘Great Place To Work’ rating, well above the 65% benchmark, clearly shows our aims to provide the best workplace environments are being recognised. We are especially pleased to have 76% survey participation. This provides us with a strong overview of the team’s experiences and helps guide our vision for continuous improvement.”

At Nationwide Produce we have experienced remarkable growth, with group turnover climbing from £2.5m in 1988 to an impressive £177m in 2023, largely attributed to our extraordinary and reliable staff. We take immense pride in our Great Place to Work-Certified® status—it’s our way of offering an authentic look into our work culture to potential team members.
